She (yes - Clifford is a girl!) is overweight from lack of exercise and too much food! Clifford is the sweetest girl and super friendly. She gets along well with other dogs and all people. She has not spent much time on a leash but will adapt quickly. She is house trained. Clifford is current on all vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Historic Wedding Day

DustyTwo descendants of the nation's founding fathers were married in the Bluffton Historic Preservation Society's Heyward House Historic Center this spring. Holli Pinckney Hall and Daniel "Dan" Lee Hodges exchanged vows in front of the hearth in the parlor of the house museum on Boundary Street in Bluffton April 17. Chelsea Marie Hodges, the groom's daughter, served as bridesmaid.

After the ceremony, family members celebrated with the couple at a reception under the magnolia tree in the front yard.

Through their respective mothers, the bride and groom represent current members of two South Carolina families who came to this country in the 17th century and became prominent in the 18th century. The bride is in the 13th generation in the line of Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, signer of the U.S. Constitution. The groom is in the 7th generation in the line of Thomas Heyward Jr., signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Holli, daughter of Linda Pinckney Hall of Beaufort and Vernon Gerald "Jerry" Hall of Bluffton, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Dan, son of Dyan Heyward Drew of Okatie and Palmer Hodges of Georgia, is a graduate of Abundant Life Academy. He owns Dan Hodges Concrete Construction Co.

The groom's grandparents, Daniel Hasell Heyward Sr. and Hattie May Mulligan, were married in the same spot in the Heyward House a century ago.

The bride's grandfather was Ambrose Joseph Pinckney of Pinckney Colony. Her grandmother was Ruth Daughtery Pinckney.
