f you’re looking for a place where friends and family can gather to enjoy good food and sports in a comfortable friendly atmosphere, look no further. It’,s warm and inviting with leather booths where you can enjoy everything from simple appetizers to a full meal and a frosty mug of your favorite brew.
The chain’s founders set out to create the perfect mix between family dining and a sports atmosphere. Although they serve beer and wine, they do not serve hard liquor. So feel comfortable bringing your little leaguers or football players and fans following a game. To that end there’s a full-page kid’s menu for children 12 and under and you can watch TV throughout
the restaurant with 33 sets including those in the restrooms. There’s no chance you’ll miss the action here. “Beef O’Brady’s understands the value of neighborhood
kids playing sports. They know that the camaraderie
of friendly competition, combined with healthful exercise, are part of the American scene.
They offer a variety of “pub grub,” including poppers,
potato skins, soups, salads, wraps, burgers and hearty sandwiches. The burgers are a half-pound pure beef steak burger and are served with your choice of fries and pickle spear. You may substitute
potato salad, cole slaw or chips for fries at an additional charge.
One of their signature dishes is The ‘O’ Brady Burger, ($7.29) which is seasoned with a unique blend of herbs and spices, topped with melted provolone cheese, and served with mayo, lettuce and tomato, pickle and onion.
Donna Huffman tried the Classic Hamburger ($6.49). To quote my friend.... “it’s a good ole nice and sloppy burger....delicious.” I tried a Black & Bleu Steak Salad ($9.49) which was a hearty serving of delicious sirloin seared with blackening spice over crisp, fresh greens with cucumbers, tomatoes, crumbled bleu cheese, french fried onions and served with a balsamic vinaigrette.
Also enjoying a tasty lunch this day were Art and Bette Laliberte and Joe and Chris Mullahey. While Bette says she also enjoys the burgers, she had the Steak Quesadilla, ($6.29) which is stuffed with cheese and served with salsa and sour cream. Art chose the Classic Chef Salad ($6.49) which has generous portions of turkey, ham, shredded cheddar-jack cheese, crisp cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. Joe and Chris look forward to enjoying their absolute favorite Reuben each and every time they eat there. “It’s the best around...the meat is tender, always good.” Generally they share it because it’s so thick and filling. It is made with thinly sliced corned beef, topped with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, served with thousand island dressing and mustard on grilled rye. Sounds wonderful and by special request, they respectfully ask that this selection remain on the menu even if other selections change.
