The Society of Bluffton Artists Featured Artist Show by Uschi Niner

Sunday, October 8, from 3-5 PM

SoBA will host a reception for local artist Uschi Niner and her exhibit of oil paintings titled “SUNRISE, SUNSET: Painting on the Edge of Light”. The exhibit will run from October 2 through Nov. 11 and is open to the public at the SoBA Gallery, 48 Boundary Street in Old-Town Bluffton. In addition to refreshments, visitors will be treated to artwork by 60 other artists.

Art Beyond Tradition

Participating artists include: Ann Hakala, Jo Dye, Vickie Jourdan, Cindy Chiappetta, Art Cornell, Stephen Kishel, Marlies Williams, Deanna Bowdish, May Reisz, Marilyn Dizikes, Mary Jane Martin, Arla Crumlich Wible, and Irene K. Williamson.
One of the artists will be at the gallery every day to talk with visitors and answer questions, and Monday through Friday at 11:00 there will be a guided gallery walk. Admission is free.
The show is featured at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in fabulous Shelter Cove on beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina from October 5-15, 2006, Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m., Sundays 12:00-4:00 and one hour before performances at the Arts Center.

The Jazz Lovers of the Lowcountry is pleased to present The Sunny Sunseri Trio with Donna Bailey in concert on October 15, 2006 at the Main Street Theater, 3000 Main Street, Hilton Head Island. The ticket cost is $5.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members which can be paid at the door. The concert begins at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Tile painting + mosaic art at the Hilton Head Art League Academy on Cordillo Parkway with DAWN DUFF

Using your hand-painted tile as a focal piece, you will learn the direct mosaic technique and pique assiette to embellish a tray, small table, or other piece.
