lear skies and warm weather blessed the three-day horsemanship clinic at Rose Dhu Creek Equestrian Center February 11 through the 13.
Clinician, Melanie Moran from Wisconsin, taught participants and auditors the principles of natural horsemanship using DownUnder Horsemanship techniques. Melanie studies with Clinton Anderson and assists him with many of his clinics around the country.
Learning the principles of controlling the horses five basic body parts, and to establish and maintain rhythm in your horse were just a few of the topics covered over the three-day clinic.
While all were tired by Sunday evening, they all agreed a better understanding of their horse and creating a balanced training program was achieved.
Rose Dhu Creek Equestrian Center would like to thank the Sprano family from Vermont and Jennifer Henderson from Arkansas for traveling all the way to Bluffton for our clinic.
Upcoming local events:
The Inaugural Equestrian Exposition will be held at Rose Hill Plantation on Sunday, April 3, 2005. Contact Iva Welton at 671-4865 for more information.
