How Much: $20 for members, $25 for non-members
South Carolina’s foremost naturalist and host of SC ETV’s Nature Scene, Rudy Mancke, will come to Bluffton December 5th to support Friends of the Rivers. Mr. Mancke will share his knowledge and thoughts on the state of our natural landscape and its resources. A benefit oyster roast will be held to honor this esteemed guest and Friends of the Rivers. The oyster roast will be held at the Moreland facility within Palmetto Bluff. The event begins at noon on December 5th (note that the drive to the site takes 15 minutes once you enter Palmetto Bluff from Hwy 46 in Bluffton). Reservations should be made in advance since space is limited. Ticket costs are $20 per person for members of Friends of the Rivers, $25 for non-members. Food will also be provided for non-oyster eaters. Beverages will include beer, wine, tea and water. Friends of the Rivers is a non-profit organization , established in 2001, to provide educational programs in the Lowcountry emphasizing the need for water quality protection

Join us to create a beautiful glass ornament. Using Mokume Gane (a Japanese metalwork technique adapted to clay) we will embellish the glass with paper thin layers of translucent color. The class is appropriate for novices as well as those with claying experience.
Holiday fun with a gorgeous result. $15. instruction plus actual cost of materials.
